    • 公定歩合 official discount rate

    公定歩合 official discount rate
    中央銀行（日本では日本銀行）が民間金融機関に貸し出しを行う際の金利のこと。
    この公定歩合を変更することによって、通貨量の安定化がはかられる。例えばインフレの場合は、公定歩合を引き上げることで金融機関の金利もあがるので、資金需要は抑制される。
    一方デフレの場合は、公定歩合を引き下げることによって資金需要が促されるとされる。しかし近年、金利の自由化やグローバル化の進展に伴い、その効果が薄れてきている。
